We search the wild beaches, mountains, valleys and deserts for natural stones and preserve their original characters as we find them. Glenn hand-sculpts and sands each stone’s contours to bring out its colors and soften its edges. Sheri hand-sculpts the original figures in clay or wax, molds of the original figures are hand-created, and the originals are cold-cast in bronze and epoxy. To seamlessly integrate the stone and figures, the castings and the original beard and hair are individually designed around the stone’s contours and sculpted by hand into every nook and cranny of the stone. To complete a piece and bring it to life, we apply up to 20 combinations of colored metals, patinas and waxes.

Each sculpture is hand-signed, dated, photographed, registered in a collection database, and assigned a unique inventory number. A Certificate of Authenticity stating that the sculpture is an original and the only one in the collection bearing its number comes with each piece.

Sculptures placed in a mild environment indoors or sheltered outside will remain in their original conditions indefinitely. Although the hand-sculpted figures are rated weather-resistant for decades, the compositions of figure and rock will react differently to prolonged or extreme heat, moisture and cold, so these conditions could shorten the life of the sculpture and are not advised.

We are currently developing a new collection of limited edition bronze sculptures from selected sculptures in our gallery. Each will be varied and one of a kind with individual hand-sculpting and unique hand-patinas. The first in our bronze collection will be available in the fall of 2008.
